Welcome to Our Family Ava Grace

George and I decided to start this blog to keep family informed of what is going on in our lives. It is hard to stay connected when you come from a large family and everyone lives so far away. Hopefully, we will be able to keep up with it. So here is the story of Ava's birth:

We checked into the hospital to be induced on Thursday, October 1st at 10 pm:

I was to sleep until 4 am and then we would start pitocin. Surprisingly, contractions began around 02:15 am all on their own. Later that evening, dilation would stall, baby would not tolerate contractions, and the side of her head would present first. We decided to move forward with a c-section.At 09:19 pm on October 2, 2009, we welcomed our precious little girl Ava Grace into the world.

Ava Grace Intzeyiannis weighed in at 6 lbs 13.8 oz and was 20 inches long. She definitely resembles her Daddy!
